I picked up this tea at the producer’s booth during the Prague Tea Festival. There are two versions: a Gushu and a (forest) garden tea, both grown at fairly high altitudes. This one is the Gushu, shaped as a dragon ball—and I’m definitely curious to see how the garden version compares.
Second session with this tea, this time using my usual spring water. It’s really enjoyable—clean, energizing, and a nice little sweetness now ans again (mostly in the first steeps). Still feels young, with a bright and brisk character, leaning more toward the light, herbal side. Bitterness is low. Mouthfeel is on the watery side, but the texture holds up well. Tastes like it comes from good, clean material.
