Revisiting the last bit of this sample—this time in a tiny (45ml) Gaiwan, after noticing how much bright teas can benefit from it in the last sessions. And yes, some surprises: a nice smoky note comes through clearly, enveloping the green/herbal taste nicely. There is a wormwood/vermouth taste that could be almost called savory, and a mouthwatering effect. This tea has a lot of buds, therefore also a solid qi feel, - enlivening. I’m using slightly lower temperature today to avoid bitterness, and it works—the tea feels smooth and quite enjoyable. Bitterness is lower and the overall feel is more smooth taste than the initial tasting.
