There go the last pieces of this lovely tea — definitely one of my favourites.

It’s the darkest month of winter up here in the mountains. The sun only clears the ridge for an hour or two each day. Perfect timing for a session on the balcony: just below zero in the shade, but in the sun it feels like a warm spring day.

In the Zini Pot, this is a beautiful example of aged Yiwu. Sweet, round, and soft, with a brimming, fruity sweetness in the aftertaste. Mellow overall — and yet there’s deep qi shining through the leaves.
