Revisiting this tea, I noticed it’s actually quite smooth, with a pleasant sweetness throughout—like brown sugar. This time, I used a solid chunk of the sample, avoiding smaller pieces and dust. Incredible what a difference that makes.

Also using a Zini pot, which goes very nice with this tea. This time barely sourness, more flavorful & light, with a gentle “antique store taste”. Clean dry storage it appears. Later steep with a subtle graphite or sharpened pencil note, and a little scratchiness in the throat.

For 144 Eur a cake, a good value.
