Calming, medicinal, mellow, old books.
No strong individual smells but one gentle field of old wood cabinet. frankincense, old books, ginseng
Very mellow and sweet, nice creamy texture, hunch of soft smokeyness. Medicinal, savory ginseng flavour, hunch of anise, well broken down, great hou yun. Relaxing qi: spreads in the whole body, calming, nice huigan, cooling on the tongue. Getting mellower/rounder after 2-3 steeps.
Slick, and full texture
Slides down tue throat very softy
Great lasting flavours of cinnamon, malty caramel smokeyness and tobacco
Very Yin (Calming). Goes right up the head and also in the whole body in later steeps

Every time I drink this tea it feels great. Even though my body is more attuned to younger sheng, - now in winter I find time to get those warming old teas out.
Nicely mellowed down, and well integrated flavours. Mostly sweet, ginseng/woody, with a medicinal aged taste.
A nice tea also to enjoy in a group of friends not so familiar with puerh as its very approachable while also having a comforting, silencing energy to it.
Also it goes well with hard water. Today I‘m drinking not my usual mountain spring water but a rather hard tap (which tends to mute a lot of younger, more delicate shengs), and it works well with the broad palette of this tea.
