Silky full bodied bulang with smooth taste.
Bulang, stable, not too harsh, also not too strong aroma, leather, smoked, wood
Rich, silvery, silky mouthfeel. Soft smokiness, with a metallic feel. Starts with some bitterness and slight sournessādry at first, then increasingly sweet with a returning sweetness. Initially numbs the tongue. Aroma is light, with hints of smoke; itās more about the full texture and feel. Thick and well matured. Quite smooth after 3ā4 steeps. Feels good. - if brewed at a lower temperature it reaveals a soft and thick-sweet character (see blow)

Starts with a soft and smooth feel. Iām using just a few grams of leaves today because the sample is quite small. Nevertheless, it is pungent with a nice sweetness, thick body and gentle bitterness. Clear, - not muddy at all.
Very nice tea!
Feels like itās clearing the mist of the mind from the first cup. Warming feel crawling up the cheeks, a little tingling inside the head - minty cooling sweetness on the tongue. Very fitting for a cloudy winters day.
Today I used a Hongi for a little more bite.

Today Iām drinking the last part of this tea sample, this time in a Zini pot. I started with the water a bit cooler than usual. What stands out right away is the smokiness and a pleasant sweetnessāno bitterness yet. The texture is extremely smooth and silky, almost creamy, and soft, while still carrying the grounded, earthy power typical of Bulang. Itās very enjoyable overallāa nice package of thick, sweet, and salivating flavors with a good energy. The lower temperature makes the sweetness appear more pronounced and overall its more accessible than last time.
Very nice!
