Old tea on a budget!, nicely aged with tangy thick taste.
Beautifully old, moss, musty, donkeystable, woody, later not much, dry cellar
thick and sweet taste, storage notes remind me of a vintage bookstore (i like!), in the beginning there is a pronounced tangyness of the side of the tongue, which later makes room for a more smooth, earthy mushroom flavour, with sweetness shining through, light malt/caramel notes. Flavour has nicely integrated, with good complexity. Overall comforting but not strong. Good mouthfeel, nicely aged, but still with a hunch of freshness, great daily drinker!
Simply comforting, especially toward the more and more developing smoothness.
Good impression with both, aroma and texture
Waterlike, soft
Not extraordinary. But clean
Average, nothing spectacular, but leaves a good feeling
I remember the first time I tried it, And had a nice thickness and sweetness. But this time I get a lot of floral fruity, tart notes, to start with. A tart woody profile with the reminiscence of the astringency of black tea in the end. Maybe the first steeps were a bit too strong, the latter ones (>4) turned out more and more smooth, with mushroom notes, which I really like.
This time I used the Hongni, but I remember it being smoother in a Zini Pot.
Nevertheless, a great value for the price.
Nice chestnut color in the first steeps. 👇🏻
